The Hrudananda Biswal Memorial Trust (HBMT) was founded in 2021 by the former students of Late Hrudananda Biswal, a visionary educator and humanitarian. What began as a tribute to his spirit of benevolence has quickly evolved into a dynamic force for community transformation.

The Hrudananda Biswal Memorial Trust (HBMT) is deeply committed to recognising those who shape our society. Each year, we host a heartfelt felicitation ceremony for exemplary retired teachers, honouring their lifelong dedication to education with citations and traditional shawls. Our appreciation extends to healthcare at the grassroots level as well; we recognise the vital contributions of Asha Karmi workers, presenting them with cash rewards and certificates for their tireless service to the community’s well-being.

Nurturing young talent is at the heart of our mission. HBMT organises a diverse range of Inter-School competitions, including essay writing, debates, drawing, and general knowledge quizzes. These events draw hundreds of enthusiastic participants from across the Dasarathpur Block, with winners receiving medals and cash prizes to fuel their academic journeys. Furthermore, we celebrate academic brilliance by felicitating the top-performing students in the BSE Odisha Class 10 examinations from local schools, encouraging a culture of excellence.

Cultural Preservation and Community Care

Beyond the classroom, the Trust is a patron of the arts and a pillar of local support. We take pride in celebrating budding musicians and dancers, while also felicitating artists of fading traditional art forms to ensure they endure for future generations. Our commitment to compassion is equally steadfast; through our annual community outreach, we distribute blankets to the elderly and needy individuals within the Nizampur Panchayat, ensuring warmth and care for our neighbours during the winter months.
